Reminiscences
Description:
Set to the track “That Life” by Unknown Mortal Orchestra, “Reminiscences” delves into the juxtaposition of youthful innocence and the poignant reflections of a mother mourning bygone days. Crafted from countless hours of treasured home video footage, this short film weaves together moments of joy, growth, and heartfelt nostalgia, offering a deeply personal glimpse into the fabric of family life.
Master of None
Description:
"Master of None" is an experimental short film that navigates the delicate interplay between cherishing memories from past relationships or friendships and confronting their absence. This project was completed during my freshman year at Tulane University. Through a non-narrative approach, the film juxtaposes vibrant scenes of joyous shared experiences with somber moments of solitude, symbolizing the dichotomy of reminiscence and loss. The editing style utilizes rapid cuts and visual effects to evoke emotional turbulence, while the soundtrack complements the thematic progression from nostalgia to acceptance. This introspective journey invites viewers to contemplate the complexities of holding onto cherished memories while finding solace in solitary pursuits.
Serenade of Water
Description:
This video was a purely personal project, documenting a trip I took with my family to Washington. I wanted to use this trip as a way to get back into my creative rhythm and make the style of content I typically enjoy creating. I took many trips with my parents as a child, but I often realize that I have forgotten the overwhelming beauty of the places I have visited with them. This project was an effort to immortalize both the scenery and the beauty of our shared experiences in a way that might otherwise exist only in memory.
